That’s right, you. You are hereby officially invited
to our cell group.
A cell is a place where …
…you can be yourself and people will still accept
you and love you for who you are.
…you can find a friend and be a friend.
…you can share a struggle and others will be able
to relate.
…you can share a victory and others will rejoice.
…you can be encouraged and be an encouragement to
someone who has needs just like you.
…you can be challenged to dream big dreams,
and fulfill your destiny.
…you can experience the ministry of the Holy Spirit
flowing in life giving power.
…you can have a family that really cares about you.
What’s a Cell?
A group of people who love one another and Jesus Christ
and form the basic building block of a powerful, living, reproducing New Testament church.
Around here, in our cell group. We regularly find
freedom and victory in our group from bondage and slavery. What we have is available to "all … who are thirsty
…without money and without cost". You don’t have to be a scientist with a microscope to see the evidence
of life here. We are just ordinary people just like you.
What’s a Cell Like?
A cell is like a family with a dad and mom who love their
sons and daughters and are helping them to grow up so that they can have their own families some day.
A cell is like a platoon in an army under the authority
of a wise commander and strategically working together to successfully wage warfare against an evil enemy who oppresses and
enslaves the helpless.
A cell is like a team of athletes who are well coached,
who train hard to develop their skills, and work together, each playing their respective positions, for the common purpose,
victory.
Hey, I Thought I Was Doing Pretty
Good to Make it on Sunday Morning.
You are! It is great to gather together to worship Jesus
with the whole church on Sunday morning. But . . . there’s more. The 1st century believers turned their world
upside down, saw multitudes come to Christ, and had resurrection power flowing through them to touch people with the love
of God. They followed a very simple pattern, they met together in big meetings in "the temple courts" and in small groups
"from house to house" (Acts 2:46, 5:42, and 20:20). If we want 1st century power then we must return to 1st
century practices.
But I don’t know anybody.
It will only take a few minutes and you’ll feel like
you’re with long time friends.
But I’m a shy person.
We’ll do our best not to put you on the spot or made
to feel uncomfortable in any way.
But I’m not good enough.
Neither are the rest of us. Jesus came to help the sick
and hurting, not those who don’t think they have any needs.
But if you really got to know me, you wouldn’t
want me.
It hasn’t happened, yet, nor do we expect it to.
We understand that everybody has room to grow.
But I don’t know what to do with my kids.
There’s something for everyone at cell. Bring them
with you. They will have a great time.
But I’m not a Christian.
Cells are a great place to come and explore the claims
of Jesus in an atmosphere of acceptance, understanding, and patience.
